metal nodules on a
deep sea floor. The large-scale nodule collector comprises a traveling
chassis, a rack, a nodule collection box, nodule collection rollers, a roller support, a mechanical tooth type conveying belt and a power driving
system. The rack is fixed to the traveling
chassis. The nodule collection box is fixed to the rack. The nodule collection rollers are mounted on the rack through the roller support and located at the front end, in the advancing direction, of the whole nodule collector. The mechanical tooth type conveying belt is arranged between the nodule collection rollers and the nodule collection box. Collection teeth are arranged on the nodule collection rollers and used for digging up the multi-
metal nodules and then conveying the multi-
metal nodules onto the mechanical tooth type conveying belt. The front end of the mechanical tooth type conveying belt conveys the multi-metal nodules into the nodule collection box from bottom to top. The power driving
system drives the traveling
chassis, the nodule collection rollers and the mechanical tooth type conveying belt to move. According to the large-scale nodule collector for the multi-metal nodules on the
deep sea floor, the arc-shaped mechanical tooth type nodule collection rollers are used for combined work, so that the ore collection efficiency and
recovery rate are greatly improved; and the whole nodule collector can automatically adapt to the
terrain change of the sea floor under the effect of a nodule collection roller
terrain clearance adjustment oil cylinder and an adjustment frame.
