The invention provides a method for incubating
mauremys mutica eggs and relates to the technical field of turtle cultivation. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps that a
wooden box specially manufactured is adopted as an
incubator, the size is 60*30*10 cm, water holes are drilled in the bottom of the
incubator or around the
incubator, a layer of clean sandy soil is placed on the bottom of the incubator, the thickness is 5 cm, the turtle eggs are placed on the soil, the distance between every two turtle eggs is 1 cm, then the eggs are covered with a layer of sandy soil with the thickness of 2 cm, and then covered with a piece of clean wet cloth, after being placed well, the turtle eggs can not be moved at will, the incubating temperature is controlled to range from 28 DEG C to 35 DEG C, the
water content of the sandy soil is 5-10%, the sandy soil is held in hands to form balls, and gets loose after being released, small turtles are incubated out after 45-55 days, 5% of
saline solution is used for disinfecting the small turtles
coming out of shells, and the small turtles can be fed on food such as
boiled egg yolk,
daphnia, shrimps and tubifex hattai. The setting conditions are processed reasonably, the
wooden box is utilized as the incubator, large-scale
processing is carried out, and the incubating rate can be increased easily.
