Clutch with dual area piston and independent pressure control

InactiveCN101520072AWith independent pressure controlObvious purposeFluid actuated clutchesControl valvesHydraulic fluid
The present invention provides a clutch having two pistons, a first piston defining a first, smaller area and a second piston, defining a second, larger area. The separate pistons are independently provided with flows of pressurized hydraulic fluid from first and second independent modulatable control valves. Engagement of the clutch may be rapid by providing hydraulic fluid to the smaller area piston, provide greater engagement force by providing hydraulic fluid to the larger area piston or a combination of speed and force by utilizing modulated or unmodulated flows of hydraulic fluid to both pistons.

Data processing system capable of using virtual memory processing mode

An aliasing support for a data processing system having no system memory is disclosed. The data processing system includes multiple processing units. The processing units have volatile cache memories operating in a virtual address space that is greater than a real address space. The processing units and the respective volatile memories are coupled to a storage controller operating in a physical address space. The processing units and the storage controller are coupled to a hard disk via an interconnect. The processing units contains an aliasing table for associating at least two virtual addresses to a physical disk address directed to a storage location in the hard disk. The hard disk contains a virtual-to-physical translation table for translating a virtual address from one of said volatile cache memories to a physical disk address directed to a storage location in the hard disk without transitioning through a real address. The storage controller, which is coupled to a physical memory cache, allows the mapping of a virtual address from one of the volatile cache memories to a physical disk address directed to a storage location within the hard disk without transitioning through a real address. The physical memory cache contains a subset of information within the hard disk.

Machine for adhesive strip, process for adhesive strip in order to produce heat insulation and sealed wall and heat insulation and sealed wall

Two sections (2) which are to be glued together are laid next to each other transversely on a machine. The chassis (21) of the machine (20) carries means of supporting the band; means of pressing against the side of the band that is not glued to apply it to a surface between the means of support and a heater (30) to activate the glue. A continuous process of sticking together a band to form a watertight and insulating wall, using rectangular panels containing layers of impermeable material. Two adjacent panels are stuck together using a flexible band containing at least one fine metallic layer by continuous application of polymerizable or thermofusible glue to the band or the panels; continuous pressing of the band against the adjacent edges and continuous heating of the band in contact to activate the glue, before or after the pressing action. In addition a final cooling stage solidifies the glue. The glue can be applied to the band as it is stuck to the panels, or if thermofusible glue is used, it can be applied at a temperature at which it is fluid, before the band is cooled and wound onto a bobbin. The band can then be unrolled, heated to a second temperature less than or equal to the first to reactivate the glue as it is pressed continuously onto the panel edges. Independent claims are included for; (1) The machine (20) has a tubular chassis (21) with at least two longitudinal elements (22) connected to each other by at least one transverse element (23, 24). Rollers (26) are connected to the chassis along its longitudinal axis (L) so they roll against the surface (14) of two sections (2) which are to be glued together. The band is held by at least two longitudinal retaining pieces parallel to the axis of rotation of the rollers, with the active parts of the retaining pieces extending transversely outside the machine. The machine is automobile, with the chassis including a drive motor (84). The drive mechanism includes rollers (85) placed along the longitudinal axis near the means holding the band, with the rollers driven in rotation by the drive motor about an axis of rotation perpendicular to that of the rollers (26). The drive rollers can be moved between an active position against the walls (10) and a retracted position away from the walls. This movement is controlled by engaging and disengaging with longitudinal grooves (13). The heater is placed between the longitudinal elements, where the band is received, so it can heat the band using at least one resistance (32) and a ventilation system (33) which blows air across the resistance to form a flow of hot air towards the band. The heater can be placed upstream of the glue applicator (68) to speed the polymerisation of the glue. In this case, the heater is a temperature-controlled hot iron. Glue is applied to one side of the band (8) between the longitudinal elements. The band is held by a pressing roller whose distance in plan from the chassis is variable and which is designed to press the band against the glued surface. Coolers are mounted on the chassis between the longitudinal elements downstream of the heaters and glue application to accelerate the curing process; and (2) Insulating and watertight wall made using this process and / or machine.

Dug pile foundation construction method

The invention discloses a dug pile foundation construction method, which comprises the following steps of: digging a hole, namely digging the hole vertical to the ground so as to facilitate entry and construction of at least one constructor, and tamping the hole along the hole edge; heightening the hole edge, namely building the hole edge with certain height to prevent hole collapse and prevent soil and stones outside the hole from falling into the hole; downwards digging the hole, namely downwards digging the hole to the depth required for a pile foundation; expanding the lower part of the pile foundation hole, namely outwards expanding the pile foundation hole close to the bottom at a predetermined position to form a cone, wherein the cone slope is in a range of 34 to 45 degrees and the lateral depth of the cone slope is less than 1 meter; forming a circular table with certain thickness on the lower part of the conical hole; and placing steel bars into the formed hole and pouring concrete into the hole to form a dug file foundation. The method does not need to construct a base face, does not damage the soil outside the pile foundation, and keeps the periphery of the pile foundation as undisturbed soil so as to well protect the environment and improve the bearing capacity of the pile foundation.

Method and device for providing programme information

An easy to use on-line guide provides the user of a multiple channel television broadcast system with a wealth of programming information in a simple format that is easy to understand. The guide enables the user to easily select a particular program to watch. In particular, when the guide is presented to the user, the guide covers only a portion of the actual television screen or display. The remaining portion of the television screen continues to broadcast the audio and video of the currently selected program. As a user scans through the guide and moves the pointer from one station to another, the system responds by automatically tuning to the channel pointed to by the pointer and provides the audio and displays the video in the portion of the screen not covered by the guide.

Connection flange for double walled high pressure gas pipe

A flange for connecting a double walled pipe to another entity. The flange comprises a radially inner body having a proximal side for engaging the other entity and an opposite distal side for connecting to the double walled pipe. An axial central bore connects the proximal side and the distal side. A noncentral opening connects the proximal side and the distal side. The proximal side is provided with a first spherical sealing and guiding surface for engaging a matching spherical surface of the other entity. The first spherical sealing and guiding surface is concentric with the axial bore. Thedistal side is provided with a second spherical sealing and guiding surface concentric with the axial bore. The flange also comprised a radially outer body with an axially extending opening through the radially outer body. The radially inner annular body is at least partially received in the axially extending opening. The axially extending opening forms a third spherical sealing and guiding surface engage the second spherical sealing and guiding surface.
