The sort may then be adjusted to eliminate or reduce the deviation and maintain the stable sort of the reference histogram. A novel imaging apparatus may be employed in a flow cytometer performing this method.

A mechanical quantity measuring apparatus is provided which can make highly precise measurements and is not easily affected by noise even when it is supplied an electricity through electromagnetic induction or microwaves. The foam concrete has the advantages that the cementing material is made of cement clinker, calcium oxide and bone gelatin powder and the use of a great amount of cement is avoided, so that the coal resources required for producing cement is reduced, which not only relieves the tension of energy utilization, but also can improve the compressive strength, leakage resistance, sound insulation effect of the foam concrete.

Then a filtered useful signal is received, wherein its amplitude is proportional to the measurand detected by the sensor.

Multi-story water distribution system

A method and system for the distribution of water in a high rise building is provided using a minimum number of piping risers. The system has a domestic cold water riser, and a domestic hot water supply riser and a return riser. At each serviced floor, a cold water supply main extends from the domestic cold water riser and a hot water supply main extends from the domestic hot water supply riser. On each floor at which riser pressure is higher than domestic use pressures, a valve reduces the pressure of the entire cold water supply main to domestic use pressures. One or more valves at each of one or more suites on the floor reduce the pressure of the hot water to each suite, leaving the hot water supply main for the floor at full riser pressure. Coupling fan-coils with chilled water supply and the full pressure domestic hot water provides an efficient piping system for both environmental controls and domestic hot water use. Regular and periodic circulation through fan-coils avoid stagnation of the domestic hot water supply.

An active noise control system is provided which cancels a noise using a sound radiated from a speaker driven by an output from an adaptive notch filter. The system employs output signals from an adder or simulation cosine-wave and sine-wave signals, an error signal or an output signal from a microphone, and a compensated signal from the adder or a signal available for acoustically transferring an output from the adaptive notch filter to the microphone in accordance with initial transfer characteristics to update the filter coefficient of the adaptive notch filter. This configuration allows the system to operate with stability even when the acoustic transfer characteristics vary with time or under circumstances where there exists a significant amount of incoming external noises. The system also prevents overcompensation for a noise at the ears of a passenger in a vehicle, thereby proving an ideal noise reduction effect.
