A fan motor speed control circuit is disclosed. The circuit includes a digital/analog converting unit and a driving unit. The digital/analog converting unit takes charge of receiving a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal and converting it into a voltage signal. A technology for combined offshore floating wind power generation, comprises a base platform and a power generation device mounted on the platform, characterized in that the platform is in the shape of a regular octagon and each corner of the regular octagon is provided with an independent corner floating unit. The center of the regular octagon is provided with an independent central floating unit. A floating support unit is connected between each corner floating unit and the central floating unit and between each pair of adjacent corner floating units such that a platform frame is formed. A deck is mounted on the platform frame and a plurality of independent chambers are in the floating support unit. The power generation device at least comprises a wind power system above the central floating unit and the corner floating units.

A method for transferring a useful layer onto a carrier comprises formation of an embrittlement plane by implantation of light species into a first substrate in such a manner as to define the bounds of a useful layer between this plane and a surface of the first substrate, mounting of the carrier onto the surface of the first substrate so as to form an assembly to be fractured, and thermal fracture treatment of the first substrate along the embrittlement plane in such a manner as to transfer the useful layer onto the support. During the thermal fracture treatment, the degree of peripheral adhesion is reduced at the interface between the carrier and the first substrate.

Interferons are the first line of defense against viral infections and administration of interferons as biotherapeutics has been demonstrated to be effective in controlling several viral infections. Here we report for the first time the identification and characterization of a member of the bovine type III IFN family, boIFN-λ3. We have expressed boIFN-λ3 using a recombinant replication defective human adenovirus type 5 (Ad5) and demonstrated antiviral activity against foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) in bovine cells in vitro. Furthermore, we have tested the efficacy of boIFN-λ3 against FMDV in vivo by inoculation of cattle with Ad5-boIFN-λ3 followed by intradermolingual or aerosol virus challenge. Our results demonstrate that the type III IFN family is conserved in bovines and that treatment of cattle with boIFN-λ3 alone or in combination with IFN-α is able to confer delayed and reduced severity of FMD. Furthermore inoculation with Ad5-boIFN-λ3 alone conferred full protection against aerosol challenge for at least 7 days after administration suggesting that type III IFN used in combination with FMD vaccines could fill one of the current gaps in emergency vaccination against FMDV.

Disclosed is a no-freewheeling arc lightning protection gap protecting device, comprising a grounding-side arc extinguishing device, and a grounding-side fitting and a conducting wire-side fitting installed at two ends of a circuit insulator string via fixing devices. The grounding-side arc extinguishing device comprises a thunder and lightning pulse acquisition device, an insulating sealing shell, a gas generating device and an arc extinguishing chamber. The other end of the grounding-side fitting is equipped with a connecting fine pipe. The grounding-side arc extinguishing device also comprises a tubular earth electrode made of a nonmetal conductive material and an L-shaped earth electrode. One end of the L-shaped earth electrode is inlaid in and connected with the connecting fine pipe on the grounding-side fitting via a Z-shaped connecting fitting, and the other end of the L-shaped earth electrode penetrates the thunder and lightning pulse acquisition device and is connected with the tubular earth electrode. One end of the nonmetal conductive material tubular earth electrode is internally inlaid in the arc extinguishing chamber, and the other end is connected with the insulating sealing shell. The device improves the electric power system stability and prolongs the service life of the electric power equipment such as transformer and breaker, and has low production and maintenance cost.

Highlighter ink compositions can be prepared which provide improved abilities to reduce smear during highlighting. Highlighter ink compositions can include an acid buffer having a pKa from about 2 to about 6, a highlighter colorant, and a liquid vehicle. The image for highlighting can be formed on the substrate using any conventional printing technique, such as ink-jet printing or other printing techniques. Application of the highlighter ink compositions of the present invention to a printed image results in a reduced degree of image smear, particularly when the image was produced by an ink-jet printing process. Further, the acid buffer can be configured for reducing mobility of specific ink-jet colorants. In this way, the highlighter ink composition can be specifically tailored for reducing smear of various printed inks.
