The present invention discloses an autonomous navigation
robot system used for unmapped area patrolling and a navigation method thereof. The
system comprises a
robot body and a
remote display controlapparatus. The
robot body comprises a positioning module, a
laser radar module, a central arithmetic
processing module, a traveling driver module, a
video monitoring module, a
wireless communication module and a power source module. The navigation method is implemented based on the foregoing
system. According to the autonomous navigation robot system used for unmapped area patrolling and the navigation method thereof, a solution with a low-cost device is used for map drawing and autonomous navigation of an unexplored region, device costs of the robot system for implementing autonomous navigation are reduced, a system architecture is simpler and more efficient, a
failure probability is reduced, and operating efficiency is improved. In addition, a map modeling method is simpler relative to aconventional three-dimensional map modeling method, computing resources for the robot system to implement autonomous navigation are reduced, system efficiency is improved, an
occupancy rate of a daily patrolling task on system resources is reduced, and an endurance time of a patrolling robot is improved.
