Plasmopara viticola, the causal agent of grapevine downy mildew, is a heterothallic oomycete that overwinters as oospores in leaf litter and soil. In the spring, oospores germinate to produce macrosporangia, which under wet condition release zoospores. Zoospores are splashed by rain into the canopy, where they swim to and infect through stomata. After 7–10 days, yellow lesions appear on foliage. During favorable weather, the lesions sporulate and new secondary infections occur.

The invention discloses a biocontrol strain and agent capable of preventing and controlling plasmopara viticola and phytophthora capsici and an application of the biocontrol strain and agent. The biocontrol strain is characterized by being a streptomyces atratus py-1 strain in surface soil of a grapery and is collected with the number of China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) No:7826 in CGMCC; and a secondary metabolite of streptomyces atratus py-1 is used as an active component of the biocontrol strain. The biocontrol agent is prepared through the steps of inoculating the streptomyces atratus py-1 into 200ml of psa culture solution in a 500ml triangular flask to culture for 5 days; centrifuging a fermentation solution for 30 minutes; filtering a supernatant solution by using a filter membrane to obtain a stock solution; diluting the stock solution, then, spraying the diluted stock solution on grapes, and irrigating the diluted stock solution into the roots of hot peppers. The biocontrol agent has a certain effect on inhibiting egg plant stem blight, egg plant root rot, tomato spotted wilt virus, tomato late blight, cucumber anthracnose, maize ear rot, sorghum curvularia lunata and wheat root rot.

Method rapidly identifying cucumber breeding material with heat resistance and moisture resistance without damaging seedling stage

The invention discloses a method rapidly identifying a cucumber breeding material with heat resistance and moisture resistance without damaging a seedling stage, which comprises the following steps carried out in a manual simulation environment with daytime/night=12hr/12hr, daytime temperature of 35 DEG C, night temperature of 25 DEG C, daytime humidity of 80%, night humidity of 100% and daytime illumination intensity of 40,000lux: (1) carrying out first screening on the seventh day after cucumber sowing, and selecting seedlings with the length of hypocotyls not exceeding 4cm; (2) on the ninth day after sowing, selecting the seedlings where first main leaves have the sizes not exceeding 4*5cm and the main leaves and edges of cotyledons are free of thermal burn; and (3) respectively inoculating plasmopara viticola and zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV) on the seedlings selected in the step (2) at the period of a third main leaf. The seedlings having heat resistance and moisture resistance to the plasmopara viticola and the ZYMV are the cucumber breeding material with the heat resistance and the moisture resistance. The method rapidly identifying the cucumber breeding material with the heat resistance and the moisture resistance without damaging the seedling stage causes no damage to the seedlings, can identify the cucumber breeding material with the heat resistance and the moisture resistance through three simple morphological characteristic indexes and is learned and operated easily. Besides, the method is good in relevance and high in accuracy rate.
