It is typically used for headers, beams, rimboard, and edge-forming material. LVL offers several advantages over typical milled lumber: Made in a factory under controlled specifications, it is stronger, straighter, and more uniform. Due to its composite nature, it is much less likely than conventional lumber to warp, twist, bow, or shrink. Method for manufacturing indoor environmentally-friendly flame retardant blockboard

The invention discloses a method for manufacturing an indoor environmentally-friendly flame retardant blockboard. The method comprises the following steps of: manufacturing brush wood and small-diameter wood into rectangular battens with the same thickness; arraying and bonding the rectangular battens to form coreboards through extrusion and surface sanding; obtaining poplar laminated veneer lumbers and fully immersing the poplar laminated veneer lumbers in the solution of water base flame retardant agents at the concentration of 20 percent for flame retardant treatment; drying the treated poplar laminated veneer lumbers and gluing on one side; covering the glued poplar laminated veneer lumbers on two side surfaces of the coreboard, and then performing cold pressing, hot pressing and sanding treatment; gluing and bonding poplar rotary cut skins on the two side surfaces of the sanded plates, and then performing ageing, the cold pressing, repairing, the hot pressing and polishing; and finally trimming the four sides of the polished plates and repairing cracks caused by trimming to obtain the finished flame retardant blockboard. The blockboard manufactured by the method has a good flame retardant property and a small number of influences on texture properties; moreover, the method has the advantages of simplicity, easy application, short production period, high efficiency and low cost.

Method of manufacturing glued laminated wood

A method of manufacturing glued laminated wood such as laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is disclosed. The glued laminated wood is made of a number of wood sheets such as veneer sheets which are laminated together by a hot press with a thermosetting adhesive into a continuous length of multiple-layered board wherein the end joints of the wood sheets are disposed in a staggered array. There is provided an initial base material having an end which is shaped in the form of a flight of steps including a series of alternate horizontal surface having a lengthwise dimension smaller than the length of the wood sheet and a vertical surface having a height corresponding to the wood sheet thickness, and the glued laminated wood board is formed extending from the end of such initial base material. The hot press includes a pair of heat plates each having an effective pressing area capable of covering the entire surface of the wood sheet. In hot pressing a wood sheet having on one surface thereof coated with adhesive, a board of the glued laminated wood in progress is placed and maintained for a predetermined length of time at a position where the entire top surface of the wood sheet is kept to be pressed from the top by one of the plates while the entire lower surface of the wood sheet is supported from the bottom by the other plate.

Manufacturing method of I-shaped wood laminated veneer lumber (LVL)

The invention provides a manufacturing method of an I-shaped wood laminated veneer lumber (LVL). The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: adjusting the water content of wood veneers to be 5-15%; coating a phenolic resin adhesive or urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin adhesive on the surfaces of the wood veneers, laminating and assembling the wood veneers in parallel along the grain, cold pressing to obtain a core strip board blank, and sawing the board blank into core strips with the width of 10-45cm; coating a phenolic resin adhesive on the surface of complete sheet veneers at even-numbered layers; assembling the veneers in parallel along the grain to obtain a face veneer of the LVL, and vertically placing the core strips on the face veneer to be taken as a core layer of the LVL; and hot-pressing the assembled board blank at the temperature of 150-180 DEG C and the pressure of 1.2-1.4 MPa for 15-35s/mm to finally obtain the I-shaped LVL. In the manufacturing method, anisotropy of wood is fully utilized so as to greatly improve the strength of the fast-growing wood LVL without increasing a reinforcing material, and the obtained product meets the requirements of the structural LVL standard in China. Therefore, the manufacturing method provided by the invention has the advantages of high utilization ratio of raw materials, short production cycle and low production energy consumption.

Method for manufacturing laminated veneer lumber by using wood

The invention discloses a method for manufacturing laminated veneer lumber by using wood to solve the problem that the laminated veneer lumber with high strength and simulated rich textures cannot be produced in the conventional methods. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) manufacturing the wood into veneers with the thickness of 0.3-5mm, and performing gum dipping and drying on the veneers, wherein the length and width dimensions of the veneers are the same as those of an internal mold of a mold, or the width dimension of the veneers is consistent with that of the internal mold and the length dimension of the veneers is a fraction of that of the internal mold; (2) superposing the veneers to obtain a blank, putting the blank into the internal mold of the mold, and ensuring that an included angle between a groove bottom and a groove wall is a fillet with the radius of R, wherein the R is more than or equal to 3mm and less than or equal to 20mm, the groove wall is provided with corresponding holes on the same horizontal plane, and the corresponding holes are matched with a pin; (3) pressing the blank in the internal mold of a movable mold of a press, making a pressing plate positioned below the corresponding holes, locking the internal mold by using the pin to penetrate the corresponding holes, and heating and curing the locked internal mold and the blank; and (4) cooling, detaching the pin, demolding the blank, ensuring that the exposed surface of the blank is provided with simulated annual rings, putting the blank in a natural environment, sheeting according to the annual rings of the blank, and ensuring that sheets have the simulated annul rings.

The whole-piece bamboo-bunch veneer and the overlong bamboo-bunch laminated veneer lumber manufactured by the method are uniform in density; the raw material can be saved greatly on the premise that national standards are met; bamboo green and tabasheer in the raw bamboo wood can be kept; and bamboo wood consumption and waste of manpower and material resources caused by removing the bamboo green and the tabasheer in the prior art can be avoided.
