An inductorless LED driver powers a string of low current LEDs. A phase controlled triac dimmer, serially connected to a full-wave rectifier circuit, performs as an LED current and triac holding current control element. The output of the full-wave rectifier circuit is divided into two circuit paths; the first path provides power to drive a string of serially-connected low-current LEDs, and the second path connects to a dynamic load, which supplies a holding current that flows through the triac dimmer. There are two feedback control systems; the first regulates the luminance of the LEDs; the second regulates the triac holding current to eliminate lamp flicker.

The invention discloses a method for constructing foundation pits for a station which can protect the adjacent running tunnel of operating subways, which comprises the steps of constructing underground continuous wall, reinforcement of the foundation in the pits, constructing precipitation well points in the pits, excavating the foundation pits, structure reconstruction, reinforcement of outer row of soil outside the foundation pits and reinforcement of inner row of soil outside the foundation pits. The construction of the underground continuous wall adds the construction of sealing wall; the excavation of the foundation pits and the structure reconstruction adopt a top-down method below the medium plate of the foundation pits corresponding to where the adjacent running tunnel is buried deeply and a bottom-up method over the medium plate; the reinforcement of outer row of soil outside the foundation pits is to reinforce the soil between the foundation pits and the adjacent running tunnel and 3m far away from the foundation pits; and the reinforcement of inner row of soil outside the foundation pits is to reinforce the soil between the foundation pits and the adjacent running tunnel and within 3m from the foundation pits. The method of the invention adopts comprehensive protection measures during the whole process of construction, thereby protecting the adjacent running tunnel of operating subways overall and reducing the effect on the adjacent running tunnel of operating subways to the utmost extent during constructing a subway station.

Application method for abradable material

A method for applying a highly porous alumina material that is useful in the hot section of a jet aircraft engine. In order to apply the porous alumina, an aluminum-based metal / alumina material known in the art is first placed onto an aircraft engine component substrate. The aluminum-based metal is then dissolved using a solution that will not affect the alumina or the underlying substrate. The alumina is then washed with deionized water and dried. The aircraft engine component may be first masked by applying a non-porous metal oxide material to the component or by oxidizing the surface of the component. The resulting alumina has a porosity in the range of about 20% to about 45%. The alumina has globular interconnected surface features in the range of about 0.5 μm to about 20 μm.

A monolayer foamed corrugated sleeve for protecting elongate substrates is disclosed. The sleeve is extruded from a polymer and a foaming agent. The polymer may be a non-elastomeric thermoplastic, a thermoplastic elastomer or a combination of the two. The sleeve is extruded from a nozzle having a cross sectional area which decreases along its length to maintain pressure on the extrudate and prevent premature foaming. The extrudate is released from the nozzle into moving mold blocks. A blow rod within the mold blocks provides gas pressure to force the extrudate against the blocks. An obturation device is mounted on the blow rod to control the gas pressure.

The invention provides a method for lowering the influence on the copper interconnection reliability from the online WAT testing. The method comprises the steps that at least one layer of to-be-tested copper interconnection structure comprising a testing component is formed on a semiconductor substrate; a dielectric barrier layer is deposited on the surface of the to-be-tested copper interconnection structure in advance, and a wafer to be tested is obtained; a testing probe penetrates through the dielectric barrier layer and keeps contact with the copper surface of the testing component, and online WAT testing is carried out on the wafer to be tested; surface activation and reduction treatment are carried out on the tested dielectric barrier layer and a small part of copper exposed after making contact with the testing probe through reducing plasma gas; the dielectric barrier layer continues to be deposited to be at the preset thickness. Through the method for combining the pre-deposited dielectric barrier layer serving as an isolation protection layer before the testing with the surface plasma activation and reduction treatment after the testing, defects in copper and dielectric materials are effectively restrained from being generated in the online WAT testing process, and the influence on the copper interconnection reliability from the online WAT testing is lowered significantly.

A lightweight portable fire resistant containment system comprises an outer shell and a lid. Free surfaces of the outer shell and lid are covered to prevent ingress of hot gas. The outer shell may have an inner shell forming an insulating air gap. Outer shell, inner shell and lid are fabricated from inorganically bonded high temperature resisting ceramic fibers. The outer surface of the inner shell has a metallic infrared reflecting wrap. An encased phase change material containment absorbs heat by melting or decomposition. A wooden or plastic lightweight portable box enclosure with cover is placed within the interior surface of the containment for storage of valuable documents, photographs and magnetic media. A jump drive within the portable box preferably houses the magnetic media. When the fire resistant containment system is exposed to 1550° F. for 30 minutes the interior of lightweight portable box enclosure remains below 125° F.
