The hardware-in-the-loop experimental platform comprises a vehicle body, a measurement and control system and a drum test bench, wherein the vehicle body comprises an air compressor, an inflation electromagnetic valve, a plurality of air springs and a deflation electromagnetic valve which are connected in sequence; and the measurement and control system comprises a height sensor, a data acquisition card, a host machine and a targetmachine. A test method of the hardware-in-the-loop experimental platform based on the vehicle height adjusting system comprises vehicle height static control and vehicle height dynamic control, a hostmachine and target machine dual-machine simulation environment is set, a target height is formulated, the vehicle height static control utilizes the height sensor to acquire the current vehicle height, a signal enters a vehicle height control model along with the data acquisition card, a vehicle height control unit controls the on and off of the electromagnetic valves through decision-making whenthe height of a vehicle body changes, so that the height of the vehicle body is recovered, the vehicle height dynamic control simulates a road surface by means of the drum test bench and inputs a height control command by means of a monitoring interface of the host machine, thereby realizing hardware-in-the-loop simulation testing.
