PURPOSE: A connector is provided to securely fix a socket housing to a print board and prevent the generation of crack at a terminal inlet of a FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit) connector in a socket housing even when a conductive part of the FPC is inserted into the terminal inlet tilted to one side. CONSTITUTION: A connector(1) is attached onto a print board(4) and connected to a FPC(2). The FPC includes a flexible insulator and a conductive wire set inside the insulator. A portion of the socket housing, which defines the corner of the terminal inlet has a predetermined thickness in the FPC inserting direction. The pair of control pieces are respectively placed at both sides of the terminal inlet. Each of the spring contacts has two elastic holding portions extended toward the terminal inlet. Each control piece includes a buried member(61) attached to the print board and an upper control member(62) extended from the front end of the buried member in parallel with the print board. The FPC is inserted into the space between the elastic holding portions through the terminal inlet such that the conductive part of the FPC is held by the elastic holding portions.
