This invention discloses an oil draining device and method for a lubricating oil radiator. The oil draining device includes a fixed support, an
oil storage tank, a drain
pipe, and a
vacuum pump. The fixed support secures the lubricating oil radiator so that the drain port faces vertically downwards. The
oil storage tank collects the drained oil and has a drain
pipe at the bottom. The Venturi-type drain
pipe connects the radiator to the oil inlet of the
oil storage tank, accelerating oil flow. The
vacuum pump is connected to the oil
storage tank through a negative pressure pipeline, creating a stable negative pressure environment to provide power for oil suction. This invention, by using a fixed support to ensure the drain port faces vertically downwards and utilizing gravity to assist in oil draining, and by using the Venturi-type drain pipe to accelerate oil flow, combined with the negative pressure environment created by the
vacuum pump in the oil
storage tank, can significantly improve the efficiency of conventional oil draining. Furthermore, even if the vacuum pump fails, the Venturi-type drain pipe can still ensure smooth oil draining, thus meeting the oil draining needs of
aviation maintenance.
