The invention relates to a method and
system for predicting an earthquake by monitoring abnormal actions of animals. According to the method and
system, the animals are positioned, so the animals can be monitored, and working staff can be helped to prejudge the earthquake. The
system comprises a positioner, a reader-writer and a positioning
server; the positioner is used for positioning the locations of the animals periodically and transmitting pulse signals containing
wireless data to the reader-writer, wherein a
wireless data packet contains the number of the positioner and
signal intensity information; the reader-writer is used for receiving the pulse signals, containing the
wireless data, sent by the positioner within an effective identification range, analyzing the
wireless data to obtain the number of the positioner and the
signal intensity information in the
wireless data, and transmitting analyzed data to the positioning
server; the positioning
server is used for receiving the analyzed data sent by the reader-writer, completing positioning according to the analyzed data and providing the analyzed data for a
client-side for location information inquiries or tracking or storage.
