Rolling bearing holder unit (1, 1A, 5, 5A, 6, 7, 7A) comprising: a rolling bearing (2) including an outer ring (10), an inner ring (20) arranged coaxially with the outer ring (10) on an inner circumferential side of the outer ring (10), and a plurality of rolling elements (30) arranged between the outer ring (10) and the inner ring (20) having a predetermined axis of rotation (m); a bearing holder (60, 60A, 70, 70A, 80, 90, 90A) arranged in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the outer ring (10) or an inner circumferential surface of the inner ring (20) of the rolling bearing (2); and a
strain gauge (100) incorporating a
resistor configured to detect strain of the outer ring (10) or the inner ring (20), wherein the bearing holder (60, 60A, 70, 70A, 80, 90, 90A) has a
thick section (61, 61A, 71, 71A, 81, 91, 91A) and a
thin section (62, 62A, 72, 72A, 82, 92, 92A) with a thickness,which is smaller than the thickness of the
thick section (61, 61A, 71, 71A, 81, 91, 91A), the
strain gauge (100) is arranged on the
thin section (62, 62A, 72, 72A, 82, 92, 92A), a preload is applied to the rolling bearing (2) to produce a predetermined
contact angle, the
thick section (61, 61A, 71, 71A, 81, 91, 91A) is arranged in contact with at least one area (DO) extending from an intersection (CO) of a straight line indicating the
contact angle and the outer circumferential surface of the outer ring (10) or the inner circumferential surfaces of the inner ring (20) to a preload-side end face, wherein the preload-side end face is an end face of the outer ring (10) or of the inner ring (20) which is close to the intersection point (CO), and wherein the
thin section (62, 62A, 72, 72A, 82, 92,92A) is in contact with a part of the outer circumferential surface of the outer ring (10) or a part of the inner circumferential surface of the inner ring (20).
