This invention relates to the field of phenolic resin technology, specifically to a preparation process for polymerized
rosin-modified phenolic resin. First, polymeric
rosin with high
dimer content is purified by devolatilization, adsorption decolorization, and antisolvent
precipitation to obtain directionally polymerized
rosin A. Then, an epoxidation reaction is performed to obtain epoxidized product B. Subsequently, cashew
phenol, 3-pentadecanylphenol, and
oleic acid are grafted in stages to obtain directionally modified polymeric rosin C. Simultaneously, a phenolic
prepolymer is prepared. Finally, the
prepolymer, modified rosin C, and natural rosin are polycondensed together, and an
antioxidant is added to obtain the finished product. This process, through directional control of raw materials and staged reaction control, enables the resin to possess high
softening point, light color stability, high n-
heptane tolerance, and excellent
processing safety, significantly improving batch consistency and making it suitable for high-performance ink binders.
