voltage protector for a tension pole for preventing a
lightning-caused broken wire comprises an arrester body, a linking and supporting component, an insulator and an air gap formed a top
electrode and a bottom
electrode. The over-
voltage protector is characterized in that the arrester body is firmly electrically connected with a pole
tower crossarm through the linking and supporting component; the insulator is mounted below the arrester body; the top
electrode is fixed between the arrester body and the insulator, and communicated with the arrester body; the bottom electrode is connected with the bottom part of the insulator through a
fastener; the air gap is formed between the top electrode and the bottom electrode; a puncture hardware component is mounted in the position of a lower
jumper wire of an insulated conductor; and the puncture hardware component is tightly and electrically connected with the bottom electrode and the insulator through
metal linking wires. The top electrode can be designed to the shape of a globe, and the bottom electrode can be designed to the shape of a sphere, a plate or a rod, and the like, thereby ensuring the top and the bottom electrodes to correspond to each other. The over-
voltage protector has the characteristics of
lightning-caused breakage prevention, simple construction, addition of an insulating cover, high safety and reliability, no need of any grounding measure, and convenient installation.
