The invention provides a chemical-free fish farming method and live fish in commercial packaging. The method includes the steps that water containers are arranged, a small amount of live fish is farmed in each water container, one water container is isolated from other water containers, and water is not communicated or leaked between the water containers. Bacterial viruses cannot invade other water containers from one water container with water as a carrier; water fed into the water containers are filtered, purified and disinfected to remove viruses in advance. The live fish is farmed in narrow space and cannot swing all around, the activity is reduced, the breath frequency is reduced, metabolism is slow, and energy consumption is reduced greatly, which is beneficial for conversion and accumulation of nutrient substances. It is avoided that chemical residue of fish exceeds standard, and fish-farming benefits are increased. The live fish in commercial packaging is packaged in the whole water containers, and substituting counterfeiting can be prevented.
