In a cooling system for cooling a heating element mounted in a vehicle, a radiator is located at a position higher than a heat sink, which absorbs heat from the heating element. When the amount of heat generated from the heating element, which is detected by a sensor, is greater than a predetermined first value, a blower is operated. Further, when the detected amount of heat is greater than a predetermined second value that is higher than the predetermined first value, a pump is operated. When the detected amount of heat is equal to or less than the predetermined first value, the pump is stopped and the cooling water is circulated by a principle of heat siphon. Accordingly, power consumption of the pump is reduced. Further, power consumption of the cooling system is reduced or an increase in power consumption of the cooling system is restricted.

Certain embodiments disclose rate reducer systems and methods to reduce the cyclic rate of self-powered firearms. The reduction in cyclic rate is achieved by mechanically delaying the firing step in the cycle of functioning. This delay is achieved by temporarily latching an inertia weight at the rear of the recoil stroke while the recoiling parts return to battery (i.e. a firing position). When the recoiling parts go into battery, the inertia weight is released and urged forward. At the forward end of its travel, the inertia weight actuates the firing mechanism.

A bottom hole assembly is configured with a drill bit section connected to a pulse generation section. The amount of bypass allowed through the valve assembly is selectable in combination with the long external housing length and width to achieve the desired pulse characteristics. The bottom hole assembly optionally includes an acoustic baffle to attenuate wave propagation going up the drill string.

By adopting such a technical scheme, the problem of relatively high reaction temperature rise and the problem that the relatively high molar ratio of propylene to cumyl hydroperoxide is needed for keeping relatively high reaction efficiency can be relatively well solved; and the method disclosed by the invention can be applied to the industrial production of preparing propylene oxide from cumyl hydroperoxide and propylene by virtue of epoxidation.
