The invention discloses a 220 kV power transmission line using an energy-saving OPGW cable operation mode and relates to the technical field of the high-voltage power transmission line. The 220 kV power transmission line using the energy-saving OPGW cable operation mode comprises a tangent tower and a strain tower, the tower head of each of the tangent tower and strain tower is provided with a ground wire and an OPGW cable, the OPGW cable is insulated from the tangent tower through ground wire insulators in a mode of using tray as a unit, the joints between the cable trays are connected with the ground, the whole OPGW cable is continuous, on one part of the strain tower between each two joints, the positions of the OPGW cable and the ground wire are changed, at the position change part, the OPGW cable is fixed on the tower head through an insulated down-lead clip, and at the transformer substation export, the segment of the ground wire with larger short-circuit current is directly connected with the ground. According to the 220 kV power transmission line, although a loop is formed between the OPGW cable and the ground, the induced current is greatly lowered because of the counteracting of the induced voltage, the electric energy consumption is greatly lowered, the electrical performance difference of a system due to the grounding times of the shunting ground wire and OPGW is reduced, the lightning stroke probability of the OPGW is lowered in a certain degree, the cable running condition is improved, and the initial investment for the OPGW cable of the power transmission line is saved.
