The invention discloses ultraviolet (UV) metal decorating base oil. The UV metal decorating base oil consists of the following components in percentage by weight: 30 to 60 percent of modified acrylic ester, 5 to 10 percent of photoinitiator, 0 to 40 percent of rutile type titanium dioxide, 0 to 2 percent of dispersing agent, and 15 to 35 percent of functional monomer, wherein the total weight percentage of all the components is 100 percent, the modified acrylic ester is aliphatic polyurethane acrylate, and the photoinitiator is 1-hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone, 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-1-propanone, and acyl phosphonates or a mixture thereof. The UV metal decorating base oil has the advantages of high flexibility, adhesion, impact resistance, boiling resistance, no mobility, capacity of meeting the requirement of metal post-processing, high production efficiency, and obvious energy-saving and emission-reducing effect, and can be used for outer coating of food and beverage cans and industry packaging barrels and cans.
