Method of pattern etching a dielectric film while removing a mask layer

A method of pattern etching a thin film on a substrate is described. The method comprises preparing a film stack on a substrate, wherein the film stack comprises a dielectric layer formed on the substrate and a mask layer formed above the dielectric layer. A pattern is created in the mask layer, and the pattern is transferred from the mask layer to the dielectric layer by performing a plasma etching process. While transferring the pattern to the dielectric layer, the mask layer is substantially removed using the plasma etching process. The plasma etching process can use a process gas comprising a first gaseous component that etches the dielectric layer at a greater rate than the mask layer, and a second gaseous component that etches the dielectric layer at a lesser rate than the mask layer.

Stretch free trace processing using block move sum and phase-based move out corrected data

InactiveUS20060221767A1Reduced and substantially eliminated stretchImproved frequency contentSeismic signal processingMathematical modelTotal energy
A technique is provided for processing seismic data to resolve overlapping events within individual traces of a gather of traces. Each of the traces is partitioned into a plurality of overlapping time intervals. The time component of the overlapping time intervals is adjusted relative to a common midpoint. The resulting time adjusted blocks define time-adjusted traces. A mathematical model is designed where the total energy of the time adjusted traces is equated to the total energy of the original traces. However, energy of individual time adjusted time intervals may be varied. Further, corresponding time intervals of different time-adjusted traces are constrained to be similar. The mathematical model may be resolved such that energy associated with separate events at a common temporal location in a non-adjusted trace (e.g., overlapping events within the trace) may be unevenly apportioned into first and second temporally separate locations in a time adjusted trace.

Intelligent agent framework

A software framework is provided for building a software-based intelligent agent. A configuration file may be written in the format of a configuration language to specify how an agent is constructed, for example by specifying a set of configuration elements and their parameters. To build the intelligent agent, the configuration file may be parsed to create an internal representation of how the agent is structured. This internal representation may be used by an agent builder to create a functional intelligent agent, e.g. one that is executable on a particular target platform. The built intelligent agent may allow its state to be retrieved, for example by the intelligent agent being capable of autonomously outputting a state file. The configuration file together with the description of the intelligent agent's state may allow a ‘stateful’ copy of the intelligent agent to be created.
