The sorting device comprises a sorting drive and a sorting element which is moved by means of the sorting drive between a sorting position, in which the sorting element is in the transport path of the pressed articles to the first pressed article outlet and guides the pressed articles to the second pressed article outlet, and a rest position, in which the sorting element is in the transport path of the pressed articles to the second pressed article outlet. A magnet driven by a stator of an electric motor converts its driving movement into a driving movement of a sorting element by means of a conversion element.
