control material, which is formed by superposing
hybrid material
layers and complexing
polymer-matrix
composite material layers in a staggered mode, and the bottom layer and the top layer are the
hybrid material
layers consisting of polyving akohol and 10 to 40 weight percent of SiO2; the complexing
polymer-matrix
composite material layers consist of the polyving akohol, 10 and 40 weight percent of SiO2 and 10 and 40 weight percent of
copper salt. The sandwich layer slow-release birth
control material can release
copper ions slowly, reduces the phenomenon of the burst release of the
copper ions caused by the conventional
metal copper birth-control device and the nanometer copper / low-density
polyethylene birth-control device, and eliminate side effects such as massive hemorrhage, underbelly pain,
pelvic inflammatory disease and the like caused by the burst release of the copper ions during initial implantation. The release process comprises that the copper ions dissociated in an intermediate layer of a
composite material are diffused towards a
surface layer under the action of
concentration gradient; the copper ions diffused to the
surface layer are diffused to an interface where the material is contacted with
body fluid of a
human body; and finally, the copper ions are diffused to the
body fluid of the
human body through the interface. The sandwich layer slow-release birth
control material prolongs a path for diffusing medicaments, increases the resistance of medicament release, and slows down the release speed of the copper ions.
