The application provides a processor cluster
system and a control method thereof. The processor cluster
system comprises a first
optical switch, a network controller, optical cables and a plurality of computing resource disks. Each computing resource disk comprises one or more optical modules and one or more graphic processors, and each graphic processor is electrically connected to the one or more optical modules. The optical modules are optically connected to the first
optical switch through the optical cables. The network controller is communicatively connected to the first
optical switch and the computing resource disks. The network controller is configured to control the first optical switch to switch an
optical path according to
data exchange requirements of the graphic processors. The first optical switch is configured to connect the
optical module of any first graphic processor in a plurality of graphic processors specified by an instruction to the
optical module of any second graphic processor according to the instruction of the network controller, so as to transmit a load data optical
signal. Based on this, optical
interconnection between any two graphic processors in the cluster can be realized, and the
data transmission efficiency is improved.
