epoxy-amine permanent crosslinking network. The side-chain carboxyl groups are derived from
maleic anhydride grafted and undergo ring-opening transformation upon contact with water, and are covalently fixed to the
polymer side chains, preventing the migration of
small molecule acids and ensuring coating storage stability. After the coating cures, environmental
moisture triggers the dissociation of side-chain carboxyl groups, releasing protons and catalyzing the dynamic exchange of
hydrazone bonds, achieving room-temperature self-healing. Excess
hydrazone groups in the coating capture
aldehyde pollutants, and the newly generated hydrazone bonds introduce polar groups and crosslinking sites, enhancing network stability.
