The invention belongs to the
casting field and specifically relates to a
casting technology for a hub. The
casting technology comprises the following steps of (1) designing of a mold sample, specifically, designing of a pouring
system, a sand core, dead heads and chilling blocks, (2) sand mold manufacturing, specifically, mold making through a
sodium water-glass sand CO2 method and core making through a self-hardening cold core box method, (3)
smelting, (4) pouring, (5) cooling and (6) annealing. According to the casting technology for the hub, the problem that the annealed structure of the hub does not reach the standard is solved, the quality problems of
shrinkage porosity and cracks in hub
