Device and method for treating inert high ammonia-nitrogen wastewater by continuous flow anaerobic overpassing IFAS-AOA

This invention discloses a continuous-flow anaerobic bypass IFAS-AOA device and method for treating inert high-ammonia nitrogen wastewater, belonging to the field of biological treatment technology for high-ammonia nitrogen wastewater. The device consists of three parts: a raw water storage tank, a continuous-flow anaerobic bypass AOA reactor, and a sludge-water separation system. The effluent from the end of the anaerobic process enters the aerobic zone of the AOA reactor, while the anaerobic end-mixed liquor bypasses to the anoxic zone, mixes with the aerobic end-effluent, flows through the anoxic zone, and enters the sludge-water separation system. In the anaerobic zone, endogenous denitrifying bacteria store organic matter from the raw water as an intracellular carbon source and bypass to the anoxic zone. In the aerobic zone, short-cut nitrification coupled with anaerobic ammonia oxidation serves as the main nitrogen removal pathway. In the anoxic zone, anaerobic ammonia oxidation coupled with endogenous denitrification achieves deep nitrogen removal. The existence of anaerobic bypass allows some of the mixed liquor to bypass the aerobic zone and directly bypass to the anoxic zone, thus fully utilizing the carbon source in the raw water. This invention can achieve stable short-cut nitrification and effective retention of anaerobic ammonia oxidizing bacteria, showing broad application prospects.
