A system and method for alleviating pain and accelerating healing associated with mouth ulcers

PendingAU2024287187A1Ulcer healingAnalgesic agents
Abstract Present invention discloses an oral ulcer patch which adheres to a surface of a mouth ulcer and reduces pain associated with the mouth ulcer while at the same time accelerating healing of the mouth mucosa. The oral ulcer patch comprises an anti-inflammatory agent, an analgesic agent; a healing agent; an agent that forms a protective barrier upon reacting5 with saliva in the mouth, wherein the patch adheres to the moist ulcer area inside the mouth, forms a protective barrier, releases active analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents, and wherein the application of the patch to the ulcer reduces the pain caused by the ulcer and reduces the healing time of the ulcer. 10 Abstract Present invention discloses an oral ulcer patch which adheres to a surface of a mouth ulcer and reduces pain associated with the mouth ulcer while at the same time accelerating healing of the mouth mucosa. A mouth liquid for treating oral ulcer and a preparation method thereof

This invention relates to a mouthwash for treating oral ulcers and its preparation method. The mouthwash comprises the following components in the indicated weight ratios: 100 parts deionized water, containing 5-35 parts sodium chloride, 1-10 parts sodium bicarbonate, 0.1-1 parts borneol, 0.1-1 parts peppermint oil, 1-5 parts vitamin E, and 1-5 parts vitamin B12. First, all the above materials (excluding deionized water) are mixed in the indicated weight ratio and ground into a fine powder finer than 400 mesh. Then, peppermint oil is sprayed onto the powder mixture and stirred evenly to obtain the prepared mouthwash powder. The powder is then packaged and sealed. To use, the mouthwash powder is poured into a bottle containing the corresponding weight of deionized water and shaken until fully dissolved before use. This mouthwash has significant effects in treating oral ulcers, providing timely pain relief, accelerating ulcer healing, and shortening the course of the disease.

An antibacterial hydrogel made from traditional Chinese medicine for ulcer healing, its preparation method and application

This invention belongs to the field of traditional Chinese medicine technology, specifically relating to a herbal antibacterial hydrogel for ulcer healing, its preparation method, and its application. The hydrogel is composed of a herbal composition and a matrix. The herbal composition includes dandelion, angelica, scrophularia, forsythia, phellodendron, atractylodes, angelica dahurica, and raw licorice. The matrix contains chitosan, polyvinyl alcohol, water, and glacial acetic acid. The effective components of the herbal medicine are extracted by decoction, concentrated, and freeze-dried to obtain a freeze-dried powder. This powder is then mixed with a chitosan aqueous solution and cross-linked using a liquid nitrogen cyclic freezing method to form the hydrogel. This invention closely addresses the core pathogenesis of diabetic foot ulcers—"blood stasis, dampness, and heat (toxin)"—allowing the various herbs to synergistically exert their effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, drying dampness and astringing sores, and nourishing blood and promoting tissue regeneration. The chitosan matrix endows the hydrogel with good biocompatibility, antibacterial properties, and sustained-release drug properties, which can improve the microenvironment of the ulcer wound, inhibit inflammatory responses, and promote granulation tissue growth, effectively promoting the healing of skin sores such as diabetic foot ulcers, and has broad application prospects.

A self-generating ulcer patch

This invention provides a self-generating ulcer dressing, belonging to the field of medical device technology. The self-generating ulcer dressing comprises a self-generating layer and a conventional ulcer dressing. The conventional ulcer dressing includes a medicated layer and a protective layer, with the self-generating layer either independently between or integrated with both. The self-generating layer is composed of membrane materials such as polylactic acid, polarized cellulose dressing, and polyvinyl alcohol, either alone or in combination with other strongly electronegative biocompatible materials. It generates a Maxwell pulse electric field under external force, accelerating cell regeneration and tissue repair, and promoting ulcer healing. The self-generating layer can be combined with the medicated layer or the protective layer. The protective layer material can be selected from polyacrylic acid resin, diethyl phthalate, or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, etc. The self-generating ulcer dressing can have a multi-layered or staggered structure, with layers connected by coating, mixing, or compression. The self-generating ulcer patch of the present invention has a flexible design and does not require an external power source. When the self-generating ulcer patch is continuously rubbed and pressed, the self-generating layer is subjected to continuous force to generate a Maxwell pulse electric field and a pulse field current, which can activate cells, promote blood circulation, and work synergistically with ulcer medication to accelerate cell regeneration and tissue repair, thereby achieving the effect of promoting ulcer wound healing.
