Experiments show that: the paddy fields adopting shallow-water and temperature-raising irrigation save about 36.72 to 46.38 percent of water than paddy fields irrigated by the conventional method; and at the same time, the rice adopts shallow-water and temperature-raising irrigation has bigger number of plants per hole, number of ears per hole, number of effective ears per plant and numberof grain per ear than rice adopting conventional irrigation, and thus, the yield of the rice is high. Field experiments show that the shallow-water and temperature-raising irrigation method can increase yield by 8.25 to 13.15 percent compared with the conventional irrigation method.
