The invention discloses a quasi-close loop starting method of a brushless direct current motor free of a position sensor, namely a quasi-close loop three-stage starting method with rotor initial position accurate pre-positioning and optimization positioning in the acceleration process combined. Short-time pulse voltage vectors are exerted in a motor winding, the rotor position can be locked in a range within 60-degree electrical angles by detecting direct-current bus current, and rotor accurate pre-positioning is completed by electrifying a designated winding, detecting current and comparing the current on the basis of rotor position locking. After rotor position pre-positioning, rotors enter the optimization positioning and acceleration stage, current differentials serve as the phase change conditions in the threshold range so that the rotors are ensured to change phase accurately in the acceleration process, and a system is switched into a counter electromotive force operation state. Experimental results show that the quasi-close loop three-stage starting method is low in cost and high in reliability, and can ensure that the system is in the quasi-close loop working state in the whole starting process and cannot have step-out and starting failure.

The first valve body and the second valve body are connected to each other. The first valve body moves in such a manner as to increase the open degree of the suction line when the difference between the pressure in the suction chamber and the pressure in the crank chamber decreases, and reduce the open degree of the suction line when the difference between the pressure in the suction chamber and the pressure in the crank chamber increases. Thus, variation of gas pressure is reliably suppressed while maintaining favorable starting performance of the compressor.

A screw compressor is connected to a motor to be driven by the motor even during periods of low compressed air consumption. During such periods, the screw compressor is at least partially unloaded to make it easier and less costly to drive the compressor. The unloading is performed by removing air from the compressor. Preferably, that is done by communicating the air inlet of a small capacity vacuum device with the air outlet of the screw compressor. Suction from the vacuum device is transmitted to the air outlet of the screw compressor to suck air out of the screw compressor to reduce the engine horsepower needed to rotate the screw compressor. The vacuum device can also be used to boost the air volume and / or the air pressure. The system can be used in a drilling rig which drills holes in the ground. The screw compressor can be unloaded during start up of the motor by briefly driving the vacuum device by pressurized liquid from a pre-pressurized hydraulic accumulator.

A charge-injected internal combustion engine exhibits improved starting performance with charge-injection timing control. A charge-injected internal combustion engine has an air-fuel injection valve for directly injecting a compressed air-fuel mixture into a combustion chamber. The engine is also provided with an air pump, driven by the crankshaft for discharging compressed air, and a timing controller for setting injection timing of the air-fuel injection valve. When initial startup of the engine is detected, the controller sets the injection timing to the intake stroke. When the engine reaches a predetermined engine speed, or when the pressure of the injection air reaches a threshold pressure where injection of the air-fuel mixture is possible on the compression stroke, the timing controller switches the injection timing from the intake stroke to the compression stroke.
