The invention discloses a decontaminating mould inhibitor for leather, wherein the decontaminating mould inhibitor for leather is prepared from the following components by the mass percentage: 25-32% of a scindapsus aureus extract, 2-3% of modified nano zinc oxide, 6-10% of lauryl sodium sulfate, 5-8% of sodium sulfate decahydrate, 4-5.5% of benzalkonium chloride, 3.5-4% of citric acid, 1-1.5% of sodium bicarbonate, 2.5-3.5% of 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, and the balance water. A preparation method comprises the steps: weighing the scindapsus aureus extract, benzalkonium chloride and water according to the proportion, and mixing and stirring until no sediments exist; adding lauryl sodium sulfate and sodium sulfate decahydrate, and stirring; then adding the modified nano zinc oxide and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, and then stirring; and next adding citric acid and sodium bicarbonate, adjusting the pH value to 6.5-7.2, subpacking according to the specification, and sealing. The decontaminating mould inhibitor also plays a curing role while performing decontaminating and mould-preventing of leather products, and has the advantages of low cost, safety, environmental protection, and faint scent fragrance.
