The invention discloses a method for restoring stony-desertification ecological vegetation by using damnacanthus indicus. The method comprises the steps: shelling seeds of damnacanthus indicus beforesowing, soaking the shelled seeds in a potassium permanganate solution, removing suspending non-full seeds, and then, carrying out sand storing treatment; and selecting stone surfaces and stone drainsof a stony-desertification hillside, of which a succession state is a shrub-grass stage and shrubs are relatively scarce, in the open air, performing pit-shaped land preparation, protecting originalshrub-grass vegetation during land preparation, carrying out dibble seeding at the beginning of March while carrying out land preparation, sowing 1 to 2 seed grains to each pit, covering pits with overturned original soil after sowing, sufficiently watering after sowing until the seeds germinate, then, carrying out uninterrupted tending management, and carrying out pruning. According to the method, the treatment progress is fast, the cycle is short, the landscape effect can be improved, and the labor intensity of manual curing is alleviated.
