Operation control of fuel cell system

InactiveUS20060110640A1Reducing pressure of hydrogenPotent effectFuel cells groupingFuel cell auxillariesElectric forceEngineering
In a fuel cell system of the invention, a pressure regulator is provided in the pathway of a hydrogen supply conduit that connects a hydrogen tank to a fuel cell stack. An anode off gas discharged from the fuel cell stack is recirculated through a recirculation pipe into the hydrogen supply conduit. A hydrogen pump is provided in the pathway of the recirculation pipe to increase the pressure of the anode off gas. A control unit of the fuel cell system includes a hydrogen pump control module, an abnormality diagnosis module, and an atmospheric pressure-based correction module. The hydrogen pump control module regulates the rotation speed of the hydrogen pump corresponding to a power demand to be output from the fuel cell system. The abnormality diagnosis module detects an abnormal state, based on a result of determination of whether the pressure of the hydrogen supply measured by a pressure sensor is within a certain range defined by two preset threshold values. The atmospheric pressure-based correction module corrects the rotation speed of the hydrogen pump and the threshold values used for abnormality diagnosis according to the atmospheric pressure measured by an atmospheric pressure sensor. Even in the state of unstable output of the pressure regulator with a variation of the atmospheric pressure, such correction compensates for the varying flow rate of the hydrogen supply to the fuel cell stack and thus effectively prevents misjudgment of abnormality diagnosis. Namely the technique of the invention reduces the potential effect of the varying pressure of the hydrogen supply to the fuel cell system with a variation of the atmospheric pressure.

Particle accelerator space engine

The invention provides two methods of propulsion for vertical and horizontal aerospace flight. Both methods manipulate the mass of a moving particle stream to achieve a desired result. In vertical propulsion, the invention circulates matter, within the confine of a machine, such that a portion of particle speed, which is perpendicular to gravity, is greater than the magnitude of velocity required for circular orbit of the planet, so as to develop radial acceleration relative to the planet center, creating a vertical force, associated with the mass of the particle stream times the radial acceleration, thereby generating vertical thrust. This methodology shall be referred to as “Gyroscopic Lift”. This invention also provides an additional method of horizontal propulsion. In horizontal propulsion, the invention may alternate acceleration and deceleration of matter, as it travels in a circulatory system, so as to create changing centripetal acceleration, and a directional imbalance of forces, thereby developing an outlet to be employed in horizontal thrust. As particles accelerate to the rear during the first ½ cycle an opposite but equal reaction causes forward horizontal propulsion. As particles decelerate in the 2nd ½ cycle, the opposition to slowing down causes forward horizontal propulsion. On port and starboard sides, forces causing particle stream acceleration or deceleration are balanced so as to cancel each others effect. This method of alternating acceleration and deceleration shall be referred to as “Impulse Propulsion”. Although the particular embodiment shown utilizes particles traveling perpendicular to gravity, it should not be concluded that this is the only arrangement possible. Whenever a particle has a component of velocity perpendicular to gravity in excess of circular orbit velocity, it is suitable to provide some measure of vertical thrust. Thus many particle accelerator designs utilizing this feature are feasible for the present invention. As an example, a particle accelerator whose axis of rotation is not aligned with the z axis should provide vertical lift and possibly other precession types of motion for a vehicle. As an alterative embodiment of this invention it provides some measure of gyroscopic lift that may be harnessed. Another example; If the circulatory path of the doughnut is comprised of a shape other than a circle it may increase the potential effect of impulse propulsion, but reduce gyroscopic lift efficiency. A shape comprised of two half circle accelerators, linked into a circulatory pattern by two parallel linear accelerators, would increase the potential horizontal thrust of impulse propulsion. Such is an alternative embodiment of this invention. Thus the invention embraces all space engines which utilize the principles of Gyroscopic Lift, or Impulse Propulsion. Obviously, many modifications and variations of the present invention are possible in the light of the above teachings. It is therefore to be understood that within the scope of the appended claims, the invention may be practiced other than as specifically described.

A lamellar water logging exhausted oil well blocking and dredging combined tapping potential production increase method is applied to oilfield development. Production test data are used for determining a low seepage layer or a lower pressure layer which is high in oil saturation and low in recovery percentage to be a potential layer, then well cementation cement paste of metalloid powder is used for plugging an opened oil layer, redundant cement plugs in a shaft are removed in a drilled mode, a new oil outlet channel between the potential layer and the shaft is rebuilt by the potential layer in a mode of depth penetrating hole, and finally dredging and plugging removing are carried out by using acid liquor composed of 1.5-8% of hydrofluoric acid, 5-15% of hydrochloric acid, 2-5% of acetic acid and 1-2% of poly-quaternary amine. Average increased oil production of a single well after production recovery achieves more than 2.7 times, average effective rate is more than 90%, average valid period of the single well is more than 300 days, and average well stimulation cost of oil per ton reduces by more than 80%, so that the method has the advantages of being good in tapping potential effect, high in succeed rate, small in risk, long in period of validity and low in cost.
