This invention relates to the field of
electric vehicle technology, and more specifically to a method,
system, and storage medium for selecting and starting a heat source for a range-extended vehicle. Based on the heating requirements of the passenger compartment or
battery pack, the PTC outlet temperature, and the target temperature of the
heater core, a heat source is selected. When the PTC does not meet the heating conditions of the passenger compartment or
battery pack, the engine is started, using the engine as the heat source. When the PTC meets the heating conditions of the passenger compartment or
battery pack, the engine is stopped, and the PTC becomes the heat source. Charging the
power battery also utilizes the engine. When the
power battery voltage is less than V0, the engine is started; when the
power battery voltage is greater than V1, the engine is stopped. When the engine is charging the power battery, the engine is used preferentially as the heat source. If a fault occurs during engine start-up or shutdown, a fault warning is issued to the user. This invention enables range-extended vehicles to select a suitable heat source and provide appropriate equipment fault warnings to the user.
