80 results about "CARBON DIOXIDE/NITROGEN" patented technology

Carbon dioxide is a colorless and non-flammable gas at normal temperature and pressure. Although much less abundant than nitrogen and oxygen in Earth's atmosphere, carbon dioxide is an important constituent of our planet's air. A molecule of carbon dioxide (CO2) is made up of one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms.

Fire extinguishing by explosive pulverisation of projectile based frozen gases and compacted solid extinguishing agents

This invention relates to a forest, terrain and urban fire fighting device and method, and more particularly, to a fire extinguishing system and method offering reduced risk of fire spread and safety of firemen. This extinguishing device consists of an encapsulated cryogenic projectile with a payload of solidified and frozen mixture of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, combination of gases and compacted solid extinguishing agents. These strategically located and cryogenically stored devices are launched at the outbreak of fire, aerially or terrestrially over a blaze. An embedded explosive charge is detonated at a predetermined and optimum height causing the solidified gases/compacted solid extinguishing agents to be dispersed instantaneously and forcefully over targeted and specified areas. The release of high pressure, low temperature oxygen exclusion gases penetrate the fire from above, chills the substrate and extinguishes the fire. As carbon dioxide is heavier than air it hangs as a cloud over the extinguished substratum effectively preventing reignition. Fly ash, fine quarry dust or any solid or semisolid extinguishing agent can also be made to disperse under force over the fires in the same mode which cuts off the oxygen supply to the burning substrates. By effectively checking and cooling the fuel complex substrate by successive pulverizations as needed this invention enables a low cost, scalable, and effective urban, terrain and forest fire intervention/extinguishing process.

Multi-stage oxidization treatment technology for sludge

The invention discloses a multi-stage oxidization treatment technology for sludge. The multi-stage oxidization treatment technology comprises the following steps: (1) feeding the sludge into an adjustment basin, and adding water for dilution; (2) feeding the diluted sludge into all stages of oxidization reaction basins in sequence for multi-stage oxidization reaction; (3) feeding the sludge subjected to oxidization reaction into a settling basin, and leaving to stand for layering to form dross, supernate and sediments; (4) performing pressure filtering and dewatering on the dross and the sediments to prepare sludge cakes, and returning the supernate into a water plant. According to the multi-stage oxidization treatment technology, walls of cells can be broken, so that microorganisms and germs in the sludge can be effectively subjected to wall breakage, and thus water in the cells can be released, and dewatering is facilitated; after the sludge is made into the sludge cakes, the moisture content is reduced to about 55 percent, so that the weight of the sludge cakes is greatly reduced, and the delivery cost of the sludge cakes is reduced; moreover, a complex group in the sludge can be opened, and macromolecular organic matters can be effectively decomposed and bonds of which can be broken, so that the biodegradability is obviously improved; non-toxic and harmless gas such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen is released, and the multi-stage oxidization treatment technology is clean and environment-friendly.

Preparation method of self-supporting coralline-like array structure electrode

The invention provides a preparation method of a self-supporting coralline-like array structure electrode. The self-supporting coralline-like array structure electrode is used for preparing and degrading pollutant urea through electro-catalysis of hydrogen energy. The construction of a nickel phosphide/cerium dioxide heterojunction can adjust the charge structure of an intrinsic catalyst and accelerate the charge transfer in the reaction process, the formation of the interface can form more active sites, and thus the catalytic performance of the material is significantly improved. As a bifunctional catalyst, the material achieves degradation of urea in sewage and energy-saving hydrogen production at the same time. Under the anode voltage, urea is oxidized and decomposed into carbon dioxide, nitrogen, water and other pollution-free substances, and hydrogen is separated out from a cathode. In an alkaline electrolyte, due to the addition of urea, the potential required by hydrogen production of the cathode under the same current is greatly reduced. And secondly, through an in-situ growth technology, the catalytic activity and stability of the catalyst are improved, and the method has profound significance for further realizing the industrialization of urea degradation and energy-saving hydrogen production. The preparation method has the advantages of simple equipment, easiness in realization and control, good process repeatability, stable product quality and the like, and has a wide application prospect.
