The invention relates to a method for manufacturing an
electrochemical energy storage system (2) that includes at least one
electrode (21, 22), especially an
anode, wherein the at least one electrodeincludes at least one prelithiated
electrode active material (41, 42) and at least one
current collector (31, 32). Lithiation is performed by reacting the
electrode active material (41, 42) with an organolithium compound of formula Li-R, wherein R is selected from the group consisting of: a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, preferably saturated, aliphatic or heteroaliphatic hydrocarbongroup having 5 to 12 carbon atoms, which can include at least one
heteroatom selected from Si, S, N, and O; a cycloaliphatic or heterocycloaliphatic
hydrocarbon group having 5 to 12 carbon atoms, which can include at least one
heteroatom selected from Si, S, N, and O; and an aromatic or heteroaromatic
hydrocarbon group having 5 to 9 carbon atoms, which can include at least one
heteroatom selectedfrom Si, S, N, and O.
