The invention relates to an environment-friendly pond cleaning method for a freshwater shrimp and crab culture pond. The environment-friendly pond cleaning method comprises the following steps of: cutting derris roots into slices, grinding the dried slices to fine powders by a grinder, and then screening the fine powders through a boulting cloth net to obtain derris root powders; when the freshwater shrimp and crab culture pond is cleaned, slighting soaking the derris root powders in clear water from the pond, and then uniformly spraying the residues of the derris root powders with the water into the pond to kill miscellaneous fishes in the pond after 2 to 4 hours, wherein 1.2 to 1.5 kilograms of the derris root powders are added in each 667-cubic-meter water; and after the pond is cleaned and disinfected by the derris root powders, spraying fermented organic manure water, namely pigeon manure water or rabbit manure water, into a water body in the pond, and after fertilizing for 5 to 7 days, putting juvenile shrimps and crabs into the pond. According to the invention, a natural plant, derris, is utilized to prepare a pond cleaning drug, the technology is simple, and the operation is convenient. Compared with the routine pond cleaning drugs, the prepared derris root powders have the advantages of high working speed, high efficiency, small dosage, low production cost, environment friendliness, easy degradation in the water body, avoidance of drug residues and safety to the juvenile shrimps and crabs as well as waterweeds, thus being particularly suitable for cleaning the freshwater shrimp and crab culture pond.
