The invention discloses a force-responding polymer foam composite material, which is characterized by comprising polymer foam particles with skins and a force-responding polymer, wherein a polymer chain of the force-responding polymer contains at least one force-sensitive group, and/or at least one force-responding component is blended in the polymer; under the action of mechanical force, a force-sensitive group and/or a force response component in the force response polymer are/is subjected to chemical and/or physical change to realize force response, wherein the polymer foam particle with the skin is prepared from an expandable polymer (composition) or an expandable polymer precursor (composition) through direct foaming and/or 3D printing, and has a skin structure; the coated polymer foam particles are compounded with the force-responding polymer and other optional components to form the composite material. The composite material has the characteristics of low density, lightness, heat insulation, sound insulation, buffering, shock absorption and force response, and can be widely applied to manufacturing of packaging materials, building materials, impact-resistant protective materials, shock absorption materials, buffering materials, sound attenuation materials, heat preservation materials, shape memory materials, electronic and electrical appliance materials, medical suppliesand the like.
