This invention relates to the field of
polyester materials technology, specifically to a method for preparing a high-
toughness polyester material and its application in a water cup. The method comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts
polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), 4-6 parts filler, 0.2-0.4 parts compatibility agent, and 0.1-0.3 parts
antioxidant. In this invention, PBT acts as a
toughening material, combining with
sugarcane extract to form an
energy absorption network, enhancing the
polyester material's resistance to deformation. The double bonds of
polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate (PEG-DMA) react with the double bonds of PBT and the hydroxyl groups of
polycaprolactone diol to form chemical cross-linking points, bridging the various materials and enhancing the interfacial compatibility of the materials. This allows stress to be uniformly transferred from the matrix to the filler when the material is subjected to external force, preventing fracture caused by excessive local stress, thereby improving the
toughness of the polyester water cup.
