The invention relates to a multicomponent
system for improving the modulus of
asphalt mixture, and an application method and modified
asphalt thereof, wherein the multicomponent
system comprises the following active ingredients in parts by weight: 1-2 parts of
calcium sulfate, 1-2 parts of animal and
plant oil, and 5-7 parts of waste tire rubber
powder. The application method comprises the following steps: taking a part of animal and
plant oil in a closed tank, covering the waste tire rubber
powder on the surface of animal and
plant oil, sealing a test tank, and closely heating at 100-140DEG C; infiltrating the
calcium sulfate whiskers with the remaining animal and plant oil, and stirring to be evenly mixed; transferring the mixture in the test tank into hot
asphalt which is at 130-140DEG C, continuously stirring for 40-90min, removing a heat source, continuously stirring until the temperature is reduced to 110-120DEG C, adding the mixture of
calcium sulfate whiskers and animal and plant oil, and continuously stirring until the temperature is reduced to 95-100DEG C. The modified asphalt has multiple characteristics of being high in strength, strong in track resistance capability, good in low-temperature flexibility and asphalt compatibility, economic and
environmentally friendly and the like.
