154 results about "Citrullus" patented technology

Citrullus is a genus of seven species of desert vines, among which Citrullus lanatus (the watermelon) is an important crop. Molecular data, including sequences from the original collection of Momordica lanata made near Cape Town by C. P. Thunberg in 1773 show that what Thunberg collected is not what has been called Citrullus lanatus, the domesticated watermelon, since the 1930s. Although this error only occurred in 1930 (Bailey, Gentes Herbarum 2: 180–186), it has been perpetuated in hundreds of papers on the watermelon. In addition, there is an older name for the watermelon, Citrullus battich Forssk. (Fl. Aegypt.-Arab.: 167. Jun 1775), which would normally have the precedence over Momordica lanata Thunberg (Prodr. Pl. Cap.: 13. 1794). To solve this problem, it has been proposed to conserve the name Citrullus lanatus with a new type to preserve the current sense of the name...

Efficient three-dimensional planting method for sweet sticky corn

The invention provides an efficient three-dimensional planting method for sweet sticky corn, in order to solve the problem of low planting benefit of the existing sweet sticky corn monoculture. The efficient three-dimensional planting method comprises the following steps: after performing spring ploughing and soil preparation, defining 1-1.1m area as a region, and coating a mulching film on each region; in the last ten-day period of April, planting a row of breeding melons on the mulching film; in the last ten-day period of May, planting a row of sweet sticky corn between two mulching films; from the last ten-day period of September to the first ten-day period of October, after harvesting the breeding melons and the sweet sticky corn in turn, preparing soil, fertilizing and planting winter wheat; in the last ten-day period of April in the next year, planting two rows of sweet sticky corn in preserved blank rows; and harvesting the winter wheat at the end of June, and planting autumn vegetables on the space formed after the winter wheat is harvested. According to the efficient three-dimensional planting method provided by the invention, the output benefit of unit area is increased, the crop rotation and the sowing and soil improving operation are organically combined, the use ratio of limited cultivated land resource is efficiently improved and the promotional value is high.

The invention belongs to the technical field of cultivation of melons and particularly relates to a seedless watermelon pollination method which includes the following steps: (1) selecting wild watermelon as a grafting stock and seedless watermelon as a grafting scion; (2) among the grafted seedlings, retaining one wild watermelon vine and one seedless watermelon vine in one grafted seedling plant; (3) with an insect vector, collecting pollen of the wild watermelon and pollinating the pollen to the seedless watermelon in the same plant; (4) when the seedless watermelon on the grafted seedling plant is fruited after pollination, selecting 2-3 fruits on one plant, retaining the selected fruits and picking-off all fruits of the wild watermelon; and (5) after watermelon fixation, topping the vines of both of the seedless watermelon and the wild watermelon, wherein other cultivation technologies are same as common cultivation technologies. The seedless watermelon natural pollination and fruit-setting method can completely replace a conventional artificial pollination method, thereby reducing labor investment and reducing cost, and also is high in fruit setting rate, is strong in anti-aging capability of the plants, is increased in weight of single fruit, is increased in yield and is excellent in quality of the fruits.

Functional seedling culturing substrate formula applicable to crop seedling culture of cucumbers, watermelons and melons

The invention belongs to the technical field of agriculture and discloses a functional seedling culturing substrate formula applicable to crop seedling culture of cucumbers, watermelons and melons, and a preparation method thereof. The functional seedling culturing substrate formula comprises turf, vermiculite, wheat stubbles and a palmitic acid solution, wherein the volume ratio of the turf to the vermiculite to the wheat stubbles is 2: 1: 0.375; the mass ratio of a substrate to the solution is 4: 1; the adding amount of the palmitic acid is 0.0256% of the total mass of a seedling culturing substrate. According to the functional seedling culturing substrate formula, the components are environment-friendly and pollution-free; the anti-disease capability of the seedling culturing substrate can be improved; compared with an existing seedling culturing substrate containing farmyard manure and a water-retaining agent, the functional seedling culturing substrate formula has the advantages of abundant raw materials, low cost, convenient manufacturing, capability of changing wastes into valuable things and the like. Self-rooted seedlings cultured by using the substrate do not need supplement of nutrient solutions; seedlings are regular and strong, do not excessively grow and have flourishing root system; the ecological environment of the soil can be improved after the seedlings are planted together with the substrate; the soil-borne pathogens can be effectively prevented and the output of melon products is improved.
