The invention discloses a breeding method for strawberry seedlings in northwest cold and
arid regions. The breeding method comprises the following steps that cruciferous waste vegetable fragment tissues are laid on the
earth surface to disinfect soil, an
organic fertilizer leavening agent is sprayed on the surface of waste vegetable residues, enough water is poured to the soil after subsurface
tillage for film mulching
fermentation, and ploughing, ventilation and
moisture dissipation are carried out after
fermentation and
decomposition; fertilizing and ridging are carried out, and
drip irrigation tapes are laid; field planting is carried out after high-quality seedlings are selected and subjected to root soaking treatment, and rooting water is poured to the seedlings immediately and thoroughly after field planting; and a small arched shed is built, the seedlings are covered with films, the films are broken to
expose the seedlings, and conventional field management is carried out. According to the breeding method for the strawberry seedlings in the northwest cold and
arid regions, the waste vegetable fragments are adopted for soil disinfection, and after waste vegetables are rottedand decomposed, the physicochemical properties such as
soil water-holding capacity,
fertility,
organic matter content and permeability can be improved, so that the application amount of chemical pesticides is reduced; meanwhile, the disinfection raw materials are
agricultural waste materials, so that the production cost is low,
agricultural waste recycling is achieved, and environmental pollutionis reduced; and after field planting, the small arched shed is immediately built for heat preservation,
moisture preservation,
water saving and drought resisting, so that
seedling recovering time is shortened, the
seedling survival rate is increased, the strawberry yield is remarkably increased, and the breeding method is suitable for popularization and application.
