The invention also discloses a sludge treatment method by use of the extractant for the heavy metals in the sludge; the sludge is pre concentrated, then the extractant for the heavy metals in the sludge is added for hardening and tempering, and deep dehydration is performed after a period of time of reaction in a tempering and quenching tank to obtain the sludge with the heavy metals extracted. The sludge treatment method solves the problems that sludge treatment methods in the prior art are long in treatment time when used in heavy metal removal and dehydration of the sludge, high in operation cost, and not good in heavy metal removal efficiency.
