ballast water treating method which comprises the following steps: (1), filtering
seawater by a filter; (2), carrying out
ozone oxidization and sterilization; (3), carrying out ultrasonic-wave
cavitation and sterilization; (4), carrying out
ultraviolet sterilization; (5), conveying the water into a
ballast bin as
ballast water; (6), carrying out back-flushing with
seawater for a filter after a ballasting process is ended; (7), treating according to the steps (2), (3) and (4) before the ballast water is exhausted; (8), exhausting the treated and qualified ballast water. According to the invention, synergistic effects of
ozone oxidization and sterilization, ultrasonic-wave
cavitation and sterilization and
ultraviolet-light
radiation sterilization are performed, equipment is small in size, low in
energy consumption, high in treating efficiency and wide in range of application. Moreover, treatment scale can be flexibly regulated by increasing or reducing number of
ozone generators, ultrasonic transducers, low-pressure mercury lamps, so that the treatment capacity can be 20m<3> / h-5000m<3> / h. Besides, organic pollutants in
seawater can be degraded while microorganisms are killed, so that the
water quality of the exhausted ballast water is improved.
