The pulse rectifier comprises a 12 pulse rectifying circuit and a DCM harmonic injection converter. Based on the traditional 12 pulse circuit, two balance reactors are respectively provided with a winding; unlike ends of the two additional windings are connected; and two dotted ends are used as the input of an AC-DC converter working in a DCM. The output of the AC-DC converter is connected with the output end of the 12 pulse rectifying circuit to return energy to a main circuit; the AC-DC converter working in a DCM of which the input current can automatically track the input voltage can automatically simulate a loss-free resistor to achieve harmonic injection. The AC-DC converter can be a Buck type, a Boost type, a Buck/Boost type, a Cukor type, a Zeta type, an SEPIC (Single-ended Primary Industry Converter) type, a normal shock type, a fly-back type and the like. According to the invention, no complex current control is required by the harmonic-wave injection converter to ensure the formation of harmonic current, and only by regulating the duty ratio and changing the magnitude of the artificial resistance through detecting the load current, the optimal harmonic injection can be realized to reduce the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) of the grid-side current.
