By using the ultralow-concentration hydrochloric acid as the catalyst, the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural can be efficiently prepared in the fructose-choline chloride eutectic system, thereby being green and environment-friendly. By using the ultralow-concentration hydrochloric acid as the catalyst, the yield of the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural can reach 92%.
