This invention discloses a modified
ethylene glycol 2,5-furandicarboxylate material, its preparation method, and its applications, belonging to the field of
polymer materials technology. This invention solves the problem that copolymerized FDCA
polyester materials often struggle to simultaneously achieve high elongation at break and high Young's modulus. In this invention, under an
inert gas
atmosphere, 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid
monomer,
ethylene glycol
monomer, and catalyst are mixed and heated to the
reaction temperature for esterification to obtain an esterified product. Then, an anhydride
monomer is added to the
reaction system to continue the reaction, yielding a ternary esterified product. Subsequently, according to the
polycondensation reaction conditions, the temperature is increased and the pressure is decreased to carry out a
polycondensation reaction, obtaining the modified
ethylene glycol 2,5-furandicarboxylate material. The modified
ethylene glycol 2,5-furandicarboxylate material obtained by this invention exhibits high elongation at break and high Young's modulus, and can be used in packaging materials,
textile materials, or
engineering plastics.
