The present application relates to the technical field of enrichment and extraction of rare
metal lithium, and particularly relates to a
system and method for selectively extracting
lithium from
lithium-containing high-
salinity water. The
system for selectively extracting lithium from lithium-containing high-
salinity water comprises a lithium-containing high-
salinity water selective extraction unit, electrodes arranged on both sides of the lithium-containing high-salinity water selective extraction unit, and an
electrode chamber arranged between the lithium-containing high-salinity water selective extraction unit and the electrodes. The lithium-containing high-salinity water selective lithium extraction
system can selectively adsorb lithium ions in lithium-containing high-salinity water by using an adsorbent in the adsorption chamber without an external
electric field, and can make the lithium ions desorb and regenerate the adsorbent under an external
electric field. Through the
coupling of the two processes, the lithium ions can be cyclically enriched and concentrated, the
desorption efficiency of the lithium ions and the lithium content of the
desorption solution can be significantly improved while selectively extracting lithium from the lithium-containing high-salinity water, and the lithium concentration cost of the subsequent
desorption solution can be greatly reduced.
