Methods and systems for utilizing delayed dilution, mixing and filtering to provide customized varieties of fresh-brewed coffee on demand

An improved system for providing an individually customized fresh brewed coffee beverage on demand by a consumer, in a wide range of variety and strength. Said brewing system for making relatively large quantities of fresh brewed coffee beverages (in particular, customized as to desired variety, body, character and / or strengths), as chosen by multiple individual consumers just prior to their consumption. Said system is easy to use by the consumer or other individual (e.g., restaurant wait staff) obtaining the customized beverage. Further, maintenance of the equipment requires only a small amount of personal attention by the owner / operator of the equipment.A general object of the present invention is to utilize “delayed dilution” of a concentrated extract to provide a beverage brewing system which immediately (upon customer selection) provides selective dilution (based on individual consumers selections) of a fresh-brewed coffee extract after the extract has been allowed to brew and held as an extract before dilution. It is also a general object of the present invention to utilize the undiluted extract to mix and dissolve other beverage compounds to make flavored coffees, cappuccinos, lattes, and the like. “Delayed mixing” and / or “delayed filtering” may also be utilized.

Methods and systems for forming concentrated consumable extracts

Typical known methods for producing large quantities of concentrated extracts from solid raw materials such as ground, roasted coffee are not ideally suited to producing high quality coffee extracts that are rich in flavor and fragrance, and which maintain the varietal characteristics of the roasted coffee from which they are produced. The current invention provides filtration methods e.g. reverse osmosis or nanofiltration for producing such high quality concentrated extracts from more dilute extracts via solvent removal. The invention provides methods that have sufficient flexibility and scalability to be used for a wide variety of applications, including for producing industrial—scale quantities of extracts for the food and beverage industry. The invention provides methods and apparatus that can produce highly concentrated, “gourmet quality” extracts for use as flavoring agents, beverage concentrates, and fragrances. The solvent—reduced, concentrated extracts produced according to the inventive solvent removal methods can be advantageously used for applications where high quality coffee extracts, with a high concentration of soluble coffee solids, for example of at least 6 wt. %-40 wt. %, and a high level of retention of varietal flavor and fragrance characteristics are desired.

Method for tobacco slice cigarette paper coloring by adopting Millard reaction

Disclosed is a method for tobacco slice cigarette paper coloring with Millard reaction. The method comprises the following steps: (1) tobacco patches or stems are put into hot water with temperatures from 40 degrees to 70 degrees and extracted for 20 minutes-40 minutes, and extract liquor is obtained. (2) The extracted tobacco patches or the stems are put into the hot water with 1 to 3 times total weight of the tobacco patches or the stems after being shoved initially by a shoving machine. The temperature of the hot water is controlled at 45 DEG C +/- 5 DEG C. The tobacco patches or the stems are extracted for 20 minutes. The tobacco patches or the stems are pulped from 25 degrees SR to 40 degrees SR by the pulping machine after the tobacco patches or the stems are shoved, thus tobacco syrup is obtained. (3) Additional fibers are pulped by the pulping machine to 40 degrees SR to 75 degrees SR. Cigarette paper is mixtured by mixturing the additional fibers and the tobacco syrup. (4) Extracted liquors are concentrated after the extracted liquors are combined. Sylvite, compound Millard reaction liquid and spices are added to the concentrated extracted liquors and made into coating liquid. The coating liquid is coated on the cigarette paper with the way of coating. (5) The coated cigarette paper is put under temperature condition of from 70 DEG C to 130 DEG C to conduct the Millard reaction.

Method for reducing content of reducing sugar in reconstituted tobacco

The invention relates to the field of reconstituted tobacco preparation, in particular to a method for reducing the content of reducing sugar in reconstituted tobacco, and an application of the method. The method comprises the following steps: adding a mixture material of tobacco stems, tobacco waste and tobacco pieces into hot water of 60-70 DEG C, keeping the temperature, performing solid-liquid separation, and preparing to obtain a tobacco extract liquid; respectively adding EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid), proline, lysine, diammonium hydrogen phosphate and a catalyst into the obtained extract liquid, adjusting the pH value of the reaction liquid till the reaction liquid is faintly acid, stirring for more than 2 hours at the constant temperature of 70-80 DEG C, subsequently performing vacuum concentration, and uniformly applying the concentrated extract liquid onto the front and back sides of a paper substrate; putting the obtained product into a baking oven for baking under the condition of ventilation till the moisture content is 11.5-13.5%, and obtaining a finished reconstituted tobacco product. Compared with that of a thin piece which is not treated by using the technical method, the content of the reducing sugar is reduced by 10-20% on premise that the sensory quality of the product is not affected.
