The invention provides a self-cleaning solar paint and a preparation method thereof. The paint comprises epoxy acrylate, polyurethane acrylate, diphenyl ketone, 2-isopropyl thioxanthene ketone, ethyl 2,4-hemellitate, 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate, ethyl silicate, fatty acyl diethanolamine, tributyl phosphate, cellulose acetate butyrate, dimethyl phenol phosphate, dimethylaminoethyl acrylate, filler, pigment and deionized water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding the epoxy acrylate, polyurethane acrylate, diphenyl ketone and dimethylaminoethyl acrylate into the deionized water, stirring, adding the diphenyl ketone, 2-isopropyl thioxanthene ketone, ethyl 2,4-hemellitate and 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate, stirring, adding the tributyl phosphate, cellulose acetate butyrate and dimethyl phenol phosphate, and adding the filler and pigment. The paint has the advantages of favorable hydrophilicity, favorable photocatalytic activity and favorable pollution resistance, and can enhance the generating efficiency of the solar photovoltaic electric plate.
